Dear Contributor, Now that your essay has been accepted for publication, you will in due time receive a copyright assignment form from Routledge to sign. This is necessary to allow the fullest dissemination of Inter-Asia Cultural Studies. You will receive by email a document in two parts. The following information is a summary of the form: The first part of the copyright assignment form is where you sign to say you agree to the terms of the document. The main terms are that you, the author assign the rights for further reproduction and dissemination of the article to the publisher, with one very important exception. As the author, you retain the right to republish a pre-print version of your work in any future publications of which you are either the author or editor. This is spelt out in the second part of the document. The form also contains the usual: (i) the work must be original; (ii) all citations must be properly credited; (iii) no abusive, defamatory or libelous statements are made and (iv) any financial interest in the publication must be declared. 1. As mentioned above, as the author of the essay, you retain the right to use the published article in your own future publications, including books. You must inform the publisher when this occurs. 2. As the author, you retain the right to post the pre-peer reviewed article on your own website or the website of the organization to which you belong, giving appropriate citation to the published version. 18 months after publication, you are then entitled to post your own version of the published work with appropriate citation to the journal. You are not allowed to post the publisher¡¦s PDF version. If you have either posted or printed the essay in an earlier version before publication; these postings or printings need not be removed but it would be appreciated if you add an acknowledgement after it has appeared in the journal. All you need to do is to add: This is a preprint of an article whose final and definitive form has been published in the Inter-Asia Cultural Studies Î [year of publication] copyright Taylor & Francis; Inter-Asia Cultural Studies is available online at: www.informaworld.com/IACS
